Full methodologyHow we will work
- Document before narrative. Every strong claim points to a primary document, with a literal excerpt and a link. An article is not a document.
- Labels, not verdicts. Confirmed, Partial, Omitted, Contradicts, Not verifiable. They describe an article on one topic and one date, never the outlet. We never use “fake”.
- Right of reply. Whoever is named gets to respond, and the response is published in full, with the same prominence, within 48 business hours.
- Corrections at the top. Our own mistake becomes a notice on the first line of the piece, dated, and is added to the corrections page.
How to check it yourself
None of this asks you to trust us. Every piece publishes the document's link, the cited excerpt, the file's hash and the address of the copy in the internet's public archive. The step-by-step to redo the check, including the command that verifies the hash, is written for someone who has never done it.
Standards we follow
The site's structure is guided from the start by The Trust Project's 8 Trust Indicators, the Journalism Trust Initiative's CEN CWA 17493 standard, the IFCN code of principles, ClaimReview markup and WCAG 2.2 AA.
Notice: following a standard is not the same as being certified by it. Revalida is not certified, evaluated or audited by any of these entities, and will not be on launch day. The structure exists so that an audit is possible whenever it makes sense to request one.
